What guests are saying
What a perfect spot for a girls’ getaway! We came from all over the state for a wedding and loved the opportunity to catch up around the dining room table, make meals together, and go out and enjoy the beautiful Leelenau wineries and the Traverse City restaurants. There was plenty of space for all 5 of us to have our own rooms. The place was beautiful, surrounded by trees and just far enough away from the road and other houses to feel like you’re truly escaping the busy world. An excellent choice for a family or a bunch of friends!
We enjoyed a quiet cozy weekend. The condo had everything we needed. It was clean we were very comfortable.

Are fireplaces in Traverse City vacation rentals wood-burning or gas?
It depends on the property. Some rentals feature traditional wood-burning fireplaces for an authentic cabin feel, while others include gas fireplaces that light with the push of a button. Each listing specifies the type.
Can we use the fireplace year-round, or is it only for winter stays?
Most fireplaces are available year-round, though guests often enjoy them most in the cooler months. In summer, you may find yourself using them for ambiance during cozy evenings indoors.
What’s the best time of year to visit Traverse City for a fireplace rental?
Fall and winter are the most popular seasons, with crisp weather perfect for enjoying a fire after a day outdoors. However, spring and summer guests also appreciate fireplaces for their warm glow on chilly nights.
Are firewood or supplies included with my rental?
If your rental has a wood-burning fireplace, some properties provide a starter bundle of firewood. Others may require guests to purchase their own locally. Gas fireplaces require no supplies and are simple to operate.
What outdoor activities pair well with a fireplace stay?
Skiing, snowshoeing, and winter hikes at Sleeping Bear Dunes are ideal for winter. In summer, boating or wine tours during the day followed by evenings by the fire make for a balanced and memorable trip.
